Your Complete Guide to booking a Livigno snow holiday with The Arc Ski Development Program

Booking a family snow holiday can be overwhelming, especially to a culturally foreign (yet seriously epic) destination like Livigno, Italy. To help you make booking The Arc Ski Development Program 2020 as smooth as freshies on a powder day, here are our insider tips.

1. Book through our partner, Travelplan Ski Holidays

2. Use The Arc’s partner hotels

If you like to book your travel yourself, we’ve partnered with a handful of hotels that are located conveniently to our meeting point for the program each day, and who come recommended by families from The Arc 2019. Just mention you are doing The Arc ski program and they’ll assist you with the best deal possible.

3. Book accommodation close to our daily meeting point

Finding accommodation close to our daily meeting point will make your holiday super smooth! Each day, we meet at the bottom of the Valandrea lift on the Carosello 3000 side. You can check out where Valandrea is using Livigno’s 3D map. The free bus stops right out the front of Valandrea, so don’t despair if your accommodation is a bus ride away – that will also work!

4. Fly into Milan Malpensa International Airport

While you can choose to fly into either Zurich or Milan, we recommend flying into Milan because there are many more transfer options between Milan and Livigno. From Milan, you can choose a private taxi or public shuttle option.

Private taxi: Our recommended private taxi company is Taxi Livigno, and they’ll collect you from the airport upon arrival and take you direct to your accommodation. Shuttle: The Livigno Express is a reliable, cost-effective shuttle service that operates between Milan Malpensa Airport and Livigno daily, and twice daily during peak winter periods. You can check out their winter timetable, and book via their website.

5. Secure your child’s spot in The Arc

Before you start booking your travel and accommo, make sure you contact The Arc’s team to lock in your child’s spot in the program. With a limit of only 6 athletes per coach, and spots in high demand, contact us today to register.

6. Leave it to The Arc to arrange your ski passes

While your child’s ski pass is included in the program fee, The Arc’s team can also arrange ski passes for the rest of the family. This way, they’ll be waiting at your accommodation upon arrival. Once Livigno releases their 2019/2020 prices in around September, we’ll contact all the families who have locked in to the program for ski pass details.

7. Gear up in Livigno

If travelling with 10 bags of luggage including ski bags with multiple pairs of skis isn’t your thing, you can rent or buy super high quality gear in Livigno. Families of The Arc get a 10% discount at Sport Zinermann, one of Livigno’s best ski shops. And with Livigno being a duty-free shopping mecca, many of our 2019 families found the prices super competitive.

8. Relax, and let The Arc arrange your extra activities

During each 2-week program, The Arc offers a range of extra activities that we think are bucket-list experiences while you’re in Livigno for the whole family. There’s welcome drinks, sunrise skiing with The Arc’s coaching team, 2 x day trips for the adults, ice skating and an incredible closing night dinner. We’ll contact all our families who have locked in to the program in around September with all the opt-in details.

9. Anyone else in your family need lessons?

For those family members who aren’t training with The Arc, we’ve partnered with Centrale Ski & Snowboard School. They have many excellent English-speaking instructors with whom we’re able to arrange lessons for your family. Just let us know what you need and we’re able to arrange this for you.
